Legal Operations Leader Marina Makanova Joins Eisner, LLP as Executive Director
LOS ANGELES – December 13, 2021 – Eisner, LLP announced that Marina Makanova, a longtime leader in the field of legal operations who most recently served as the director of legal operations at PricewaterhouseCoopers, has joined the Firm as its Executive Director. She will work from the Los Angeles office of the Firm.

At Eisner, LLP, Makanova will manage the Firm’s practice areas and have broad oversight of the Firm’s business operations. She brings extensive experience in senior management roles at several national law firms. She previously served as the Practice Management Lead for the national litigation group at Kaye Scholer and as a Practice Group Manager for multiple global practice areas at DLA Piper.

At PwC, she created programs to improve the performance of the corporate legal department through increased efficiency, standardized processes, and enhanced cost controls. She is a member of the executive advisory board of Onit, a leading maker of software that improves workflows in legal departments and other organizations.
Makanova received her B.S. in international business from Central Michigan University; her MBA from Johns Hopkins University; an M.S. in organizational change management from the New School; and an executive education from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. She has professional certifications in legal project management, pricing strategy, digital acumen, and human-centered design.
