Eisner, LLP Continues Bicoastal Growth with High-Profile Partner Additions
Firm Adds Kristine Blumensaadt in Los Angeles and Evan Michailidis in New York
LOS ANGELES—December 7, 2021—Eisner, LLP announced today that it has made significant additions to both its East and West Coast offices, with Kristine Blumensaadt joining as a partner in the entertainment department, based in Los Angeles, and Evan Michailidis joining as a partner in the litigation department, based in New York.
“Kristine and Evan are dynamic additions who will accelerate our growth in Los Angeles and New York, respectively,” said Michael Eisner, chair of Eisner, LLP. “Evan is a true litigator whose persuasive skills have made him successful across a variety of engagements, from FCPA investigations to employment class actions. And Kristine is an excellent entertainment lawyer, with deep expertise in television and other important aspects of the business.”
Blumensaadt’s career in entertainment law spans over 15 years and began as a business affairs executive at both the studio and network levels at Fox Television Studios and A&E Networks. She then expanded her in-house expertise in independent film distribution. For the past several years, Blumensaadt has built her private practice as an expert in television studio business affairs and strategy consulting, often acting as a business affairs department for her various studio clients. She utilizes this breadth of knowledge and experience in her representation of her diverse roster of talent clients, who work across all aspects of the entertainment industry.
“Eisner has established a deserved reputation for excellence in the entertainment industry and other areas that complement my practice well,” said Blumensaadt. “I look forward to drawing on the firm’s strengths, including its expertise in finance transactions in the entertainment industry, to the benefit of my clients.”
Blumensaadt received a degree in psychology and film theory from the University of Miami and attended Pepperdine University School of Law.
Michailidis, who comes to Eisner from an Am Law 100 firm, frequently advises clients on high-value commercial disputes, government investigations, and white-collar criminal matters. In his 15-year career, he has built a well-respected practice litigating commercial disputes, and also defending product liability and employment claims. He also has particular experience representing clients in government investigations, including those under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and white-collar criminal matters. He has multiple clients in the entertainment industry, including intellectual property rights holders, as well as studios with international operations.
“Eisner offers all the sophistication of the largest firms in New York, at a scale that allows it to provide highly personalized service,” said Michailidis. “I’m excited to be part of the team here, working alongside lawyers who see their role the same way I see mine: acting not just as a legal advisor, but as a business counselor who helps advance my clients toward their most important goals.”
For eight consecutive years, Michailidis was selected as a New York Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine. He is a graduate of Columbia University and Emory University School of Law.
